(Image: Franklin County Observer)BROOKVILLE — The Franklin County School Board selected Keith Isaacs to become the next Franklin County High School principal.He takes over the position previously held by Dr. Kent Grider who resigned last month after a plagiarism scandal following a graduation speech.Isaacs began teaching at Centerville Senior High School in 1989 after graduating from Ball State University with a B.S. in Technology Education. He received his M.A. degree in Educational Leadership in 2006.He graduated from Tri Jr/Sr. High School where he participated in band, wrestling, football track, and baseball.In 1998, he began teaching Technology and Engineering Education in the South Henry School Corporation. From 2007-08, he served as the assistant principal at Tri Jr/Sr. High School and has served as the principal the last 6 years.Isaacs brings 26 years of educational experience to his new position and will continue with the Early College High School initiative and the implementation of Chromebooks for every student. Mr. Isaacs is a past recipient of the Department of Air Force Outstanding Technology Teacher Award, the I-STAR award, and the Lilly Endowment “Teacher Creativity Grant.”He is a member of the Indiana Association of School Principals and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.Keith is married to April Isaacs and they have a daughter Courtney and a son Travis.
