Leon WyckoffLeon Gale Wyckoff, of Wellington, (formerly of Caldwell) died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Wellington at the age of 88.Leon was born the son of Russell and Della (McDannald) Wyckoff on Sunday, September 26, 1926 in Caldwell.On September 1, 1946, Leon and Rose “Dolly” Buresh were united in marriage in Perth. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. To this union was born two children: Gale and Janie. Leon was a lifelong farmer that loved his land and his Lord. He was a proud member of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Caldwell.Â Survivors include his son Gale Wyckoff (Connie) of Wellington, daughter, Janie Ward (Jody) of Benton, grandson, Chip Wyckoff (Brandy) of Wellington, grandson, Jeff Wyckoff (Sara) of Wellington, grandson, Jay Wyckoff (Tyra) of Wellington, granddaughter, Mindy Runnalls (Jason) of Rose Hill along with his eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers: Marvin and Leo Wyckoff.Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Funeral services for Leon will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, 400 North Main Street, Caldwell.Interment will follow at the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell.A memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.
