by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow â€” The following are a list of criminal court complaints recently filed by the Sumner County Attorney’s office.These are formal charges introduced into the Sumner County District Court system. The suspects listed in the complaint have not been tried by a judge or jury unless specified otherwise. All citizens are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Wilson Ellis, born in 1965, of the Sumner County Jail was charged with violating a protective order, a Class A misdemeanor; and stalking, a level 9 felony.Ellis was convicted of criminal threats made to another person on Nov. 13, 2014 and was ordered to have no contact with that person. Then on Nov. 16, Ellis allegedly purchased a candle and two music CDs and delivered it to the victimâ€™s parents residence where she is staying on the front porch with a note.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Arthur Goodnight, born in 1982, of Oxford was charged with disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor; and domestic battery, a Class B misdemeanor.Goodnight is accused on Nov. 30, 2014, of being intoxicated and using abusive language to address his father and stepmother, who told him to leave the house. When the stepmother offered him a blanket because it was cold outside, he allegedly used profanity at her.He also allegedly shoved her with the blanket.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Merri Lee Smith, born in 1960, of Belle Plaine was charged with battery, a Class B misdemeanor; domestic battery, a Class B misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor.Smith is accused on Nov. 27, 2014, of hitting another person with a dog leash, then pursuing her outside and tackling her to the ground where she hit her. Then, allegedly, as Smith and another person was struggling on the ground, a male attempted to separate them, she angrily struck and shoved him. She also allegedly was yelling profanities at the two individuals and when a neighbor was watching, she allegedly made an obscene gesture.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Richard Vaughn Jenkins III of Belle Plaine was charged with consumption of cereal malt beverage or alcoholic liquor by a minor and operating a vehicle with a breath or blood alcohol content of .02 or greater while under the age of 21.Jenkins allegedly on Nov. 30, 2014, was operating a motor vehicle on North Logan Street in Belle Plaine and swerved into the other lane for no apparent reason.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Robert Osborne, born in 1976, of Wellington was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Osborne was accused of having a small baggy of marijuana in a black lock box in his house two glass marijuana pipes.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Michael Dwyer, born in 1985, of Wellington was charged with theft, a Class A misdemeanor; and two counts of forgery, level 8 felonies.Dwyer is accused on Aug. 14, 2014 of stealing blank checks from a checkbook at a Wellington residence. On Aug. 20 at the Wellington Dillons Store he used those checks to pay for $56.97 of merchandise and another check for $54.99 at a later time.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Elautua Coleman, born in 1988, of Wichita was charged with conspiracy to commit theft, a level 10 felony and theft, a level 9 felony.Coleman is accused at the Kansas Star Casino on May 5, 2013, of surreptitiously picking up a tan Coach purse from another individual that contained about $2,000 in cash, a casino voucher, credit cards and property that was worth about $2,000. She then allegedly handed the purse to Regina Austin, who then allegedly took the Coach purse and placed it in a larger purse and gave the purse to her to facilitate getting it out of the casino undetected.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢James Horton, born in 1979, of Augusta was charged with vehicle burglary, a level 9 felony; and theft, a Class A misdemeanor.Horton is accused on Aug. 21, 2013 of getting into a 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the parking lot at the Kansas Star Casino. He allegedly reached through the window of an unlocked car, opened the trunk and attempted to steal a purse. He allegedly took $60 in cash and two bankcards.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Rhonda Lukken, born in 1969, of Wichita was charged with theft, a level 9 felony.Luke is accused on Sept. 6, 2014 of stealing a vehicle in the Kansas Star Casino parking lot.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Kendall Roberson, born in 1994, of Wellington was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 drug felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Roberson is accused on Aug. 7 of possessing about .4 grams of meth in a small baggy inside a Revlon pouch which he tried to hide as an officer approached. He also allegedly had a meth pipe.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Brandon Johnson, born in 1983, of Mulvane was charged with no left mirror, a traffic infraction; driving while revoked as habitual violator, a Class A misdemeanor- second offense; possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Johnson is accused on Nov. 25 of not having a left mirror on a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier when his driving privileges were revoked. He then allegedly had a baggy of marijuana in his pocket when he was booked into jail.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Don James Sharpsteen, born in 1957, of Wellington was charged with no insurance, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a level 5 drug felony; transportation of open bottle, a misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Sharpsteen is accused of driving a 1992 Buick Roadmaster on K-53 without insurance and having a marijuana cigarette inside his empty box of Marlboro cigarettes. He also unlawfully transported an open bottle of Kentucky Deluxe Whiskey.His court deposition is set for Jan. 15.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Sharon Story, born in 1946, of Hutchinson was charged with theft, a Class A misdemeanor.Story is accused of stealing a wallet containing $380 in cash at the Kansas Star Casino.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Abdulah Khayr, born in 1986, of Wichita was charged with failing to stop before emerging from private drive, a traffic infraction; possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; possession of amphetamine, a level 5 drug felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Khayr is accused of failing to stop while pulling onto U.S. 81. During the search, Khayr is accused of having marijuana in an orange pill bottle in the center console of his vehicle.He also allegedly was in possession of orange capsules marked Adrenal XR and one orange pill imprinted with U29. He also allegedly had a multicolored glass marijuana pipe on the driverâ€™s side floorboard.His court deposition is set for Jan. 8.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢James Gressel, born in 1993, of Wellington was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute at least one gram but less than 3.5 grams, a level 3 drug felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia to distribute or analyze controlled substance, a level 5 drug felony.Gressel is accused on Dec. 2, of possessing about 3.0 grams in an Altoids cans in his motherâ€™s vehicle which he had borrowed. According to the complaint, he admitted he was trying to get meth sold for $350.He also allegedly possessed digital scales and several unused plastic baggies inside a green camera bag in his motherâ€™s vehicle.His court deposition is set for Jan. 8.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Zachary Nicely, born in 1995, of Oxford was charged with violation of protective order, a Class A misdemeanor; and consumption of alcohol by underage adult, a Class A misdemeanor.On Sept. 10, 2014 Nicely was arrested for domestic battery and other charges. He was released on bond with a special condition that he has no contact with the victim. The case was continued until Dec. 4. But on Dec. 2 Nicely, allegedly, returned to visit the victim at her residence at 215 W. Myrtle in Oxford and got into an argument with her, who was talking on the phone with her sister, who in turn called the police to request a welfare check. The police found Nicely and the victim together.He also allegedly consumed a few beers at another house before going to the girlâ€™s house, which resulted in the 19-year-old having an odor of alcohol on his breath.On Dec. 4 he pled guilty to both charges and was sentenced to six months county jail and fined $200. He was granted one year probation providing he obtain domestic violence assessment and counseling as recommended.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Saengpachahn Orasit, born in 1982, of Wichita was charged with aggravated failure to appear, a level 10 nonperson felony.Orasit is accused of failing to surrender himself within 30 days for felony charges of forgery and aggravated false impersonation. He also had failed to show up for court appearances before being arrested on June 26, 2014.His court deposition is set for Jan. 8.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Brittany Myers, also known as Brittany Purkey, born in 1988, of Oxford was charged with burglary of dwelling, a level 7 felony; conspiracy to commit burglary of dwelling, a level 9 felony; and theft, a level 9 felony.Myers is accused of entering a cabin at 50th Avenue North near Belle Plaine with intent to commit a theft from June 9 through June 20. Myers, allegedly with another person, broke into the cabin and took oars, liquor, propane bottle, Coors bar light, pellet rifle, charcoal grill, cedar chest, fishing poles, machete, 8-foot ladder, lawn mower, DVDs, and other property valued at least $1,000 but less than $25,000.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Tommie Lee Barrett, born in 1981, of Wellington was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.Barrett is accused of having a small plastic baggy of marijuana inside his wallet when he was arrested on Sept. 1, 2014.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Efrain Torres, born in 1977, of Wichita was charged with speeding 82 in a 65 mph zone, a traffic infraction; no driversâ€™ license in possession, a misdemeanor; and violation of a Protection from Abuse Order issued on Feb. 20, 2014.Torres allegedly was in the same car with a person he was prohibited from having any contact with.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Doniella Godown, born in 1989, of Derby was charged with theft, a level 9 felony.Godown was accused of taking four iPads from the Wellington Wal-Mart Store without paying for them on Oct. 10, 2012 at 1:30 a.m.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Jack Stonehocker, born in 1962, was charged with aggravated assault, a level 7 felony; battery, a Class B misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor; and criminal threat, a level 9 felony.Stonehocker is accused of going to his house and getting a gun and coming out and pointing it at another person on Dec. 13, 2014.He is also accused of making contact with another person in an angry manner. Allegedly, after Stonehocker, who was said to be intoxicated made sexually suggestive remarks to the personâ€™s girlfriend and the person told him to leave her alone. Stonehocker then allegedly called the girlfriend derogatory names which resulted in a physical fight between Stonehocker and the other person.During the fight, Stonehocker allegedly threatened that he was going to burn their house down while they were both in it.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Cassandra Lutz, born in 1980, of Wichita was charged with driving while suspended – third offense, a Class A misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Lutz is charged on Nov. 29, 2014 of driving a a car on U.S. 81 and Seneca Road while driversâ€™ license was suspended, having marijuana cigarette lying on the real seat of the vehicle, and rolling paper in a small plastic container in the center console.Her court deposition is set for Jan 15 at 1:30 p.m.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Michael McKelvy, born in 1989, of Fort Worth, Texas was charged with speeding, a traffic infraction; possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.McKelvy is accused of having about two grams of marijuana inside a metal grinder in the glove box of his vehicle on Nov. 27, 2014.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Philip Koerner, born in 1964, of Wellington was charged with impairing a security interest, a level 9 felony; removing a VIN from a vehicle, an unclassified felony; and impairing a security interest, a level 9 felony.Koerner is accused on January 4, 2014 of borrowing $29,000 at 8 percent interest for one year from Impact Bank. He allegedly pledged collateral of a 1940 Ford pickup and when the note came due without payment, the bank asked to inspect the collateral. Koerner said he was storing it at a friendâ€™s house out of town and thereafter admitted to having sold or traded the vehicle for a 1957 Ford Ranchero and a 1950 Ford Deluxe Coupe. The sale was done without prior consent of the bank and the only payment made on the note was $1,000 made on March 11, 2013 which did not cover accrued interest.Koerner is also accused on August, 2013 of removing the engine number, the identification number or serial number of the 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe in an effort to conceal the identity of the vehicle. He allegedly used a cutting torch to cut out the VIN plate and sold it to someone else for $250 so he could attach the plate to another vehicle.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Tamica Johnson, born in 1979, of Bel Aire, Kansas was charged with disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor; and interference with a law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor.Johnson is accused at the Kansas Star Casino on Dec. 7, 2014 of angrily directing profanity at her husband as they were leaving the casino which prompted a patron to report it to a deputy in the parking lot. When the deputy arrived in the parking lot, the husband was trying to walk away from her but she persisted in yelling profanity. The deputy asked her to calm down but she persisted with the profanity allegedly.She then was arrested, handcuffed and placed into the car while refusing to quit yelling or giving him her name and address. She allegedly somehow got out of the vehicle and then physically resisted the deputy in placing her back into this patrol car since she was under arrest.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Seth Frazee, born in 1993, of Wellington was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.Frazer is accused of possessing a small metal marijuana pipe which he kept in his bedroom in the basement of his motherâ€™s home which he used in the past to use to inhale and otherwise introduce a controlled substance into the human body.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢Sam Sengvlay, born in 1990, of Wichita was charged with two counts of identity theft, a level 8 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; and theft, a Class A misdemeanor.Sengvilay is accused on Dec. 17, 2014 of using a fraudulent Kansas ID Card to get into the Kansas Star Casino, and a checkbook containing checks issued to another person. He also allegedly had forged checks to buy merchandise at TJ Max, Finish Line and Wal-Mart.When apprehended, Sengvilay allegedly had a baggy of marijuana in his pocket.â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢â€¢John Greenwood, born in 1990, of Argonia, was charged with battery, a Class B misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor.Greenwood is accused of knocking another person unconscious in an argument that escalated into a fight on Nov. 8, 2014. Allegedly, Green physically attacked and fought with one person which alarmed the other person, who tried to come to the aid of the person being attacked and was knocked unconscious.
