first_imgSaurav Ghosal settled for a bronze in the squash men’s singles event after he lost in the semi-finals 12-10 13-11 6-11 5-11 6-11 despite winning the first two sets against Leo Au of Hong Kong China at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta on Saturday.India’s medal tally now rises to 28 – 6 gold, 5 silver, 17 bronze.This is the third medal after Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Joshana Chinappa’s bronze medals in their respective semi-finals, which is the first time that India would return with three medals in the singles squash event.Asian Games 2018, Day 7: Live UpdatesGhosal, a three-time Asian Games singles medallist, had earlier defeated compatriot Harinder Sandhu 3-1 (9-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-7) in the quarter-final.
