They included Brian Cadd, Greedy Smith, former rugby league footballer Benny Elias, country music singer-songwriter Jade Hurley and several Wallabies and Waratahs players.Ms Morris said the two-storey home, the closest house to the beach, was built 17 years ago.“We bought it when it was just over two years old. We hadn’t had any damage from previous cyclones, until Cyclone Debbie,” Ms Morris said. “For 16 hours those 300km/h winds just kept coming. So we had some damage from that and some water came in. We got rid of the floorboards downstairs and tiled it, and the kitchen is brand new. We didn’t have to pay much because our insurance covered most of it.”She said for about $100,000 they did the decking around the swimming pool, and put tiles in other places.
